Make a mother's day

Instead of giving your mum chocolates or flowers or perfume this Mothering Day (Sunday 18 March), why not buy her a present that will help a mother in one of the poorest countries in the world? The Mothers' Union is offering a selection of ethical gifts, combined with a Mothering Day card for your own mother. For example:

Order online at www.makeamothersday.org or by phone 020 7222 5533 by Wednesday 7 March. A card describing the gift will be sent to you for you to give to your mother.

Or a gift can be given in memory of your mother. A card with her name will be displayed in the chapel at Mary Sumner House, London.
