The Christian Aid Week house-to-house collection in Bowdon in May raised a record total of £4,705 — £246 more than last year, an increase of 5.5%.

214 donations were gift-aided, to a total of £2,503, adding a further £625 in reclaimed tax.

At a time of economic uncertainty, when donations to charity are generally falling, the generosity of all who contributed in any way to this total is a cause for celebration and heartfelt gratitude.
