Bowdon has a thriving Scout Troop with over 35 boys and 15 girls meeting on Monday night from 7.30 pm to 9.15 pm in the Parish Centre.
We are urgently seeking a new female leader to join us from September. If our search is unsuccessful, we shall be unable to continue as a mixed troop, to our immense regret. Full training and support is available from our happy and experienced team. If you are interested, do please contact me on 07715 541 114 or via the Parish Office, 929 1537.
The troop is one of the oldest in the District — a Church troop was started by the Parish Church in 1910, only three years after Scouting was introduced by Lord Baden-Powell. Traditional scouting and camping are strong features of the programme and we were one of the first troops to have girl members.
Contact: John Stageman, Assistant Scout Leader on 07715 541 114 or john.stageman@astrazeneca.com.
